The weekend will see a period of sunshine and clouds, but the active weather pattern will return to the forecast by Sunday, with a potential for rain showers throughout the day. This will be followed by mostly cloudy skies, with high temperatures expected to remain above average. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the region under a marginal risk (1 out of 5) on its severe weather scale for Monday and Tuesday, and is also placing a risk for severe thunderstorms on Tuesday. The final boundary is expected to pass over the region before a cold front rolls through the region by late Tuesday night, increasing the chance of showers and thunderstorms. Despite this, no widespread severe weather is expected for the start of the week.
