East County Blood Donors Needed After Red Cross Supplies Dwindle

The American Red Cross is seeking public assistance in replenishing its blood supply after winter storms negatively impacted donations. The Red Cross will perform A1C testing on successful blood, platelet and plasma donations made in March. The public is urged to register for a blood or platelet donation appointment to prevent future disruptions to patient care. Donations can be made through the Red Cross Blood Donor App or a personalised donation page.
