Gastonia officer saves child and three others from floodwaters

Gastonian police officer, Jacob Byrd, has been named the Employee of the Month for March for his role in helping to rescue a child and three others from a car trapped in floodwaters. He was partially submerged in the water and managed to rescue the child's mother and other individuals. The incident occurred during a car crash.
