ICE Reportedly Acknowledges Its Use of Notorious Graphite Spyware

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has acknowledged its use of the notorious Graphite spyware, a powerful spying tool that can hide on smartphones and record user activity, and then delete itself. The company had entered an agreement with ICE in 2024 under the Biden administration, but this contract was halted for review last year and was lifted by the Trump Administration. However, ICE claims it uses Graphite only in the course of investigating fentanyl trafficking.
