Fantaspoa To Host Anniversary Screenings Of Brian De Palma’s ‘Carrie’ & F. W. Murnau’s ‘Faust’ As Part Of 2026 Edition

Brazil's leading genre film festival, Fantaspoa, will host an exclusive 2026 edition of its genre festival from April 8 to April 26. The event will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Brian De Palma's Carrie and the centenary of Faust, the German Expressionist classic from F. Murnau. Over 200 films, including 85 features, will be featured across the festival's programme, representing productions from 41 countries. The festival's theme will be the “symbolic and visual power “of Carrie” and will open with a live-scored screening of Faust. The screening will take place at Instituto Ling in Porto Alegre and feature a newly composed live score by Argentinian guitarist and composer Germán Suane.
