Doctor Accused of Prostitution, Trafficking Involving 16-Year-Old Girl Dies by Suicide Days Before Court Appearance

Francis J. Kearse III, an Ohio doctor accused of leading girls into "sugar daddy" relationships, died by suicide just days before he was due to appear in court on prostitution and trafficking charges involving a 16-year-old girl. His felony charges included trafficking in persons, importuning, compelling prostitution, and compelling prostitution involving a minor. On Tuesday, March 31, Kearse was set to appear at Hamilton County Common Pleas Court for his arraignment. Assistant Prosecutor Elyse Deters confirmed that Kearse had taken his life and the case against him in Hamilton County will now be dismissed.
