The Cleveland Browns have signed free agent guard Zion Johnson on a three-year, $49.5 million contract. This move comes as the team continues to rebuild its offensive line, which allowed 53 sacks in 2025. Johnson, who was drafted by the Chargers with the 17th pick in the 2022 draft, played right guard as a rookie and moved to left guard in 2023, where he remained for three seasons. His contract with the Browns was set to expire on March 10, but was moved to that date when Joel Bitonio asked for more time to consider his future. The deal with Johnson will not become official until the new league year begins at 4 p.m., March 11.
