Long Island man, Gregory Fink, a former NYPD officer and youth sports hero, is facing a medical nightmare in Colombia, where he suffered a severe aneurysm in his right vertebral artery while abroad and doing charity work. He also runs the Hamptons-based youth soccer program South Fork United Foundation. Fink underwent successful surgery in March but there are still complications. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $27,000 towards its $50,000 goal, with most contributors being Long Island parents who grew close to Fink.
