Nebraska is set to see a temperature roller coaster this week, with temperatures expected to remain in the 40s across north-central and northwestern Nebraska, while Lincoln is expected to reach a seasonal high in the 60s. The most significant change comes from a disturbance bringing rain and snow mix across the state, particularly in northern Nebraska where temperatures will dip below freezing. While Nebraska is on the edge of a broader severe weather threat, a Marginal risk exists for extreme southeastern Nebraska from Wymore to Auburn to Fall City. The main Moderate risk (Level 4 of 5) for severe weather is out east, with another Enhanced risk highlighting southern Oklahoma and Texas. The longer-range forecast (8-14 days) shows above-average temperatures and drier conditions across western Nebraska.
