President Donald Trump has confirmed that the replacement for the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his son Mojtaba, hasn't been killed but is believed to be alive, although he may have been seriously injured. The statement was made during an interview with Fox News and was first reported by Fox and other sources. The announcement comes amid speculation that Mojaba was killed in one of the airstrikes leading off the joint U.S. and Israeli campaign against Iran. Despite this, Trump stated that he believed the new leader was still alive “in some form.” He also mentioned that the death of Ayatallah would not significantly impact Iran's ability to wage region-wide conflict.
