Eat This Food Every Day to Slow How Fast You're Aging

A study by a large U.S. study has found that diets built around plant-based foods can slow biological aging, rather than physical appearance of aging. The study, which examined nearly 5,000 people, found that those who ate more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and and beans, along with eating fewer animal products, had noticeable signs of being biologically younger than their chronological age. The difference was measurable and repeated across multiple datasets and aging markers. However, the study also found that not all plant-inspired diets were associated with faster aging, regardless of their "plant-based" status. The findings were published in the journal Aging.
