A woman, Julie Ann Leon, 45, is facing a Level 6 felony charge of neglect of a dependent for her actions that endangered the child's life. She was found severely intoxicated and oblivious to a naked, crying 5-month-old infant lying beside her on the floor at her home in Portage, Indiana. She is also facing a felony battery count and a misdemeanor charge of resisting law enforcement for kicking a Portage Police officer at the Northwest Health-Portage facility and refusing to follow orders from arresting officers.
