K-9 trained to help in child abuse investigations joins metro Atlanta police force

The Fairburn Police Department has added a 2-year-old golden retriever named K-9 to its ranks, K-10, to the force. The dog will be trained to assist in child abuse investigations and provide emotional support during difficult situations. The donation was made to the nonprofit Defenders for Children, which works to prevent child abuse, trafficking, and pornography. The police department is thanking the organization for their efforts.
