The Phoenix Film Festival has hosted a film called "Normal" featuring Bob Odenkirk as the temporary sheriff of the small town of Normal, Minnesota, after the town's last sheriff passed away. The film follows the character Ulysses, who becomes embroiled in a corruption scandal involving the corrupt town government, law enforcement, and its citizens. The movie is praised for its action-driven action scenes, featuring foreign gangsters, legions of bad guys, and a deadly protagonist with a mysterious, violent past. It was written by Derek Kolstad, who wrote both Nobody movies and influenced many imitators with John Wick. Despite some minor issues with the narrative, the film is praised as being more engaging than any other film. The second act of Normal is filled with action-packed action scenes and clean editing by Jonathan Amos.
