India is set to play against Hong Kong in the last match of the 2027-Aeges AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, aiming to secure a positive result for their poor qualifying campaign. The match will also feature the debut of Australian-turned-Indian Ryan Williams, who has been playing in the Indian Super League with Bengaluru FC. Hong Kong is also undergoing significant change, with head coach Ashley Westwood recently leaving and recently joining ISL side Kerala Blasters. The only new faces in the team are Bijoy Varghese and Albino Gomes, and a host of Mohun Bagan players.
