Suspect accused of fatal shooting of NYPD Det. Jonathan Diller to appear in court

The suspected killer, Guy Rivera, is set to appear in court in relation to the fatal shooting of NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller. The shooting occurred during a traffic stop in Far Rockaway, Queens on March 25. If convicted, Rivera faces up to life without parole. He has 21 prior arrests and has served time for assault, robbery, and possession of a controlled substance. The trial is expected to last three to four weeks.
