Piedmont Triad International Airport has remained relatively quiet during the Department of Homeland Security shutdown, despite long lines and delays reported across the country. The shutdown has left TSA workers without pay, leading to staffing shortages and long waits at some airports. As of the day, more than $12,000 has been raised for support of the staff.
