Billionaire Ken Griffin to meet with Hochul to discuss New York’s ‘future direction’ after Mamdani feud

Ken Griffin, founder and CEO of the hedge fund and market trading firm Citadel, will meet with New York State Gov. Kathy Hochul to discuss the state's future direction. This follows a proposed tax on second homes worth over $5 million, supported by New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, which is aimed at helping to close New York City's budget gap. Griffin has objected to Maddani's attempt to use Griffin's name in his push to tax individuals from outside the state who own New York city residences.
