A gunman has killed two people and injured 14 in a mass shooting outside a bar in Austin, Texas, which is being investigated as "potentially an act of terrorism". The suspect, identified by the Department of Homeland Security as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, used both a pistol and a rifle in the attack. The shooting occurred outside Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden, a popular nightlife destination near the University of Texas. The FBI is investigating whether Diagne's actions were influenced by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Texas Governor Greg Abbott warned that the state would respond aggressively to any attempts to threaten Texas.
