Pedestrian dead, DUI driver arrested in Newport Beach hit-and-run

A pedestrian has been killed and a man from Adelanto is arrested following a hit-and-run incident in Newport Beach. The suspect, 26-year-old Jesus Alvarez, was driving a white Chevrolet Corvette at the time of the incident. The incident occurred at the intersection of Newport Boulevard and 24th Street. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
