The Verge reporter and science editor, Zilis, testified that she is the mother of four of Elon Musk's children and worked for Musk's entire AI portfolio, including Tesla, Neuralink, and OpenAI. She met with Musk through OpenAI and confirmed that they had a "one off" before becoming friends and colleagues. Her job under Musk was to solve bottlenecks and work 80 to 100 hours a week. Her first two children by Musk were born in 2021 while she was serving on OpenAI's board. She kept their children's paternity secret from her own family and kept their identity a secret. Her testimony was crucial for Musk as she appeared to be the only person taking notes on what Brockman, Altman, and Musk were discussing when the cofounders considered their options for creating a for-profit arm of OpenAI, which she also facilitated. Zilish's emails from the period indicated that she thought OpenAI betrayed its mission during the chaos when Altman was fired by the board.
