RPD officers, driver face charges after crash involving police cruiser

Two Raleigh police officers and a juvenile suspect are facing charges following a crash involving another car. The officers were attempting to pull over a silver Infiniti sedan for a traffic violation and when the car ran into them, it collided with the vehicle. The driver and passenger were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The two occupants of the Infinini are juveniles. The officer and the driver were not wearing their seatbelts during the incident. An internal review is underway to assess the circumstances surrounding the crash and appropriate action will be taken.
