Lionel Messi scored the 900th career goal for Inter Miami during a Concacaf Champions Cup match against Nashville SC, joining Cristiano Ronaldo in the record books. The goal was scored in the seventh minute of play. New signing Sergio Reguilon set up the scoring, marking the first assist for the team. The team also has a goal to win the Concacacacatic Champions Cup and potentially reach the FIFA Club World Cup.
