Gap co-founder Doris Fisher, who helped build the iconic clothing retailer, has died at the age of 94. She and her late husband, Donald Fisher, opened the first Gap store in 1969 in San Francisco. Fisher was an equal partner in the venture, investing the same amount of capital as her husband and working in the first store. Today, Gap operates about 3,570 stores worldwide, with over 2,500 company-run locations and over 1,000 franchised stores.
