Dog dies in sitter’s care

South Florida woman Kiera Zuckerman, who considered her French Bulldog Kelly to be a member of the family, found out her puppy had died while with a sitter. She paid over $1,200 to an online service that sets pet owners up with sitters. When she returned home, she received an urgent voicemail from the sitter informing her of the death of Kelly. The company refunded the cost of the stay and covered all veterinary and aftercare costs. However, Kiera argues that the service does not cover trauma, experiencing the loss of an animal as much as possible.
