As national gas prices top $4 a gallon, Oklahoma still among cheapest

As Iran increases its control over the Strait of Hormuz, average gasoline prices in the U.S. rose above $4 a gallon for the first time since 2022. However, not all cities are seeing cheaper fuel. The average cost of unleaded gas has risen more than a dollar in the month since the war began, with the average gallon in Oklahoma City costing roughly $3.15. The highest costs are seen in states on the West Coast, including Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Utah, with Utah having the lowest at $4.19 per gallon.
