HonHonchoo, a Chinese tech company, has developed a robot phone, the Robot Phone, which uses a pop-up camera and a gimbal to communicate with users. The phone's physical AI capabilities can be integrated into the design of a phone, allowing it to run or swivel around on a three-axis hinge. The company's Robot Phone also incorporates a 200-megapixel sensor with AI object tracking and can lock onto users even if they turn the phone around. The Robot Phone will be available for purchase in the second half of the year and will be sold to content creators, who currently use DJI Osmo for image quality. The firm's product expert, Thomas Bai, also highlighted the technical challenges of building a foldable phone without compromises on battery life and the need to meet two standards: extreme lightness and extreme strength. Additionally, the company has announced a partnership with Arria, renowned for its pro-level shooting and AI-assisted navigation, and plans to implement existing camera capabilities.
