GTA 6 parent company Take-Two reportedly lays off its AI-focused staff: "Shifting priorities from upper management have impacted my team"

Take-Two Interactive, the parent company behind Rockstar Games (GTA 6) and 2K Games, has reportedly laid off its head of AI and several team members involved in the tech. Luke Dicken, who was previously a senior director of AI at Zynga, expressed disappointment over the decision. Other AI-focused staff members also confirmed the layoffs. This follows months of CEO Strauss Zelnick expressing his commitment to embracing AI, which he believes can help create more engaging tasks for gamers.
