The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating the disappearance of American woman Lynette Hooker in the Bahamas on April 4. The couple had left Hope Town, on the day before, on a small dinghy to make their way to Elbow Cay. The Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBP) has arrested a 59-year-old American male male in connection with Lynette's disappearance. The Coast Guard initially joined rescue efforts on April 7 and has since conducted extensive search-and-rescue operations. Lynette’s daughter, Karli Aylesworth, has requested federal, state, or local authorities to investigate the circumstances of her disappearance.
