North Carolina resident Christopher Gillum, a former cop who was reported missing by his family and threatened to carry out a mass shooting at a New Orleans festival, was arrested in Florida on a charge from Louisiana police of terroristic threats. Gillum had previously expressed a desire to harm Black people and planned to travel to a festival in New Orleans to conduct a shooting, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
