Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a former member of the Virginia National Guard and convicted ISIS supporter, has been identified as the gunman behind the attack at Old Dominion University in Virginia. The attack, which killed ROTC instructor Lt. Col. Brandon Shah and injured two others, was described as an act of terrorism. Federal investigators are still piecing together the events leading up to the attack and what led JallOH to carry out the shooting. The case has been brought under scrutiny due to Jallo's previous terrorism conviction and his early release from prison. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison and five years of supervised release in 2017. During his time in prison, he had expressed admiration for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage.
