She also dismissed speculation about the 2028 general election, stating that it would be a mistake to focus on this until after the midterms. Her comments were made on the first episode of Politico's "On the Road With Jonathan Martin" which featured a 40-minute interview with Sanders. The interview also included comments from her father, former Arkansas Gov. and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. Despite a divisive interview with Tucker Carlson, Sanders defended her father and criticized Carlson for his dishonesty and disrespecting her father.
