A new exhibit at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, Lake Worth Beach, is focusing on the movement, emotion and spirit behind all athletic endeavors. The exhibit, "Kinetic Energy," features over 30 works by 14 Palm Beach-based artists and includes works by Inter Miami soccer star Lionel Messi, Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, and former Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade. Jessica Ransom, the cultural council’s director of artist services, was inspired by World Cup fever. The collaboration also highlights the importance of sports in the county, which saw a record-setting $498 million in visitor spending tied to sporting events last year. Out of the artists featured, Kyle Lucks has three pieces: "Messi In Miami," "The Jumper," and "Nearside Strike."
