Most Americans back ceasefire in Iran: Poll

A new poll by the Marquette Law School has found that 75 percent of Americans approve of the ceasefire in the Iran war, while 24 percent disapprove. The majority of Republicans, Democrats, and independents agree with the decision to pause fighting overseas. On Tuesday, President Trump extended the ceasefire indefinitely, citing the U.S. military's ability to achieve the goals and objectives of Operation Epic Fury. The ceasefire will remain in place until Iran submits a new peace proposal. A separate poll showed that most Americans blame President Trump for the rise in gas prices and energy costs created due to the war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
