Section of Zora Street in Joplin closing for widening

A section of Zora Street in Joplin, Missouri, is closing due to a $2.8 million project to widen the thoroughfare from State Highway 249 to the new roundabout at Duquesne Road, which opened last year. Truck traffic will be redirected to either Newman Road or Highway 171. The remaining portion of the road will remain accessible to homes and businesses. The project is expected to be completed by mid-fall.
