Lobo runners Samuel and Kosgei earn big conference honors

New Mexico's Habtom Samuel and Pamela Kosgei have been named the men's and women's Mountain West Indoor Student-Athletes of the Year for the indoor track and field season. Samuel won titles in the men’s 3,000-meter and 5,000 meters at the Mountain West Institute of Athletics, before claiming his first indoor national championship in the latter race at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Additionally, Kosgea was named the second consecutive Indorestian.
