Lost Kayaker Became Disoriented and Stayed on Sandbank Overnight Before Being Rescued by Helicopter

A missing kayaker, Goran Radic, was rescued by a helicopter after becoming disoriented and staying overnight on a sandbank off Australia's southern coast. The 73-year-old man was located during an extensive search and rescue operation following a kayaking trip off Middle Beach, South Australia, where he failed to return from the trip. Despite initially missing, a multi-agency search was launched but resumed on Wednesday morning, with a police helicopter spotting him a mile south of Middle Beach. Despite his ordeal, Radic was deemed in good health and his kayak will be recovered.
