David Osmond, a musician and member of The Osmonds 2nd Generation singing group, has battled multiple sclerosis since his diagnosis at age 26. The disease, which affects at least 1 million people in the U.S. and can interfere with how information passes between the brain and the rest of the body, often causes fatigue, memory issues and mobility impairment. Despite his busy schedule, OsmOND has dedicated his name to the Race to Erase MS, a fundraising effort that dates back to the dark ages of the disease. The Race to Ease MS has raised nearly $60 million for brainchild research. Other public figures with MS include Christina Applegate, Selma Sigler, Jack Osbourne and Montel Williams.
