Fire on South Korean ship in Strait of Hormuz extinguished

A fire has been extinguished on a ship operated by South Korean shipping company HMM in the Strait of Hormuz following an explosion. The crew needed four hours to put out the flames, and there were no fatalities. The ship was anchored in waters near the United Arab Emirates when the explosion occurred. US President Donald Trump had previously claimed that Iran had fired on a South Korean cargo ship. The vessel is now expected to be transported to Dubai by tugboat.
