John Carey, the convicted killer known as the Hamilton Strangler, will be sentenced for the 1986 murder of 20-year-old college student Claire Gravel. A lead in 2012 led to Carey's involvement in the cold case murder led to his conviction. Gravel was found dead in the woods near the intersection of Route 128 and was identified as Gravel's killer. The victim's family is scheduled to testify before the sentencing.
