Former USC players Evan Mobley and Onyeka Okongwu have been among the top performers in the NBA this past week, largely due to their college football performances. Despite this, many former Trojans have had successful weeks in the league, including Bronny James and DeMar DeRozan, who are becoming more important in the Lakers' rotation. Okongu, who has been consistent throughout the week, is set to be the Hawks' #1 big man and their 5 position, filling the void left by injured backup big Jock Landale. DeMar deRozans moved to 16th all-time on the NBA regular-season scoring list, passing Oscar Robertson and moving up to 17th on the list. De'Anthony Melton did not have the best week scoring and remains banged up due to nagging injuries, but his defensive play is crucial for the Warriors. Despite these injuries, he remains a key defensive player for the team.
