Goodell promises Melbourne game will not be a one-off

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has assured that this year's game between the San Francisco 49ers and the LA Rams will not be a one-off and could return as early as 2027. The first regular-season NFL game in Australia was held at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Tickets for the 100,000-seater stadium have been so successful that the NFL could have sold out the September 11 game in the pre-sale. Goodell also commented on the potential challenge of the record attendance for an NFL regular season, which he believes could exceed 105,000.
