Davey vows to fix communities at Lib Dem election campaign launch

The Liberal Democrat Party leader, Sir Ed Davey, has criticised politicians like Nigel Farage for focusing on issues that matter to people in their communities rather than focusing on them. He suggested that the government should intervene in energy bills, suggesting Chancellor Rachel Reeves should be generous once Ofgem's energy price cap is updated after July. The party's policies include banning water companies from disposing raw sewage into rivers and over beaches and cutting VAT for High Street pubs and cafes.
