Long Island Bicycle Co-Op (LIBC) in Syosset, New York, is hosting a free bicycle giveaway on Sunday to help residents stay connected this summer. The nonprofit organization refurbishes donated bicycles to give away freely to those in need. Since 2019, LIBC has given away over 7,500 bicycles, with about 2,000 in 2024. The giveaway will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with more than 100 carefully-restored bikes being donated. The organization is seeking volunteers so they can hold more such giveaways in Nassau County.
