The Community Consolidated School District 21 Board of Education has approved the demolition of a residential property at 2836 Hintz Road in Wheeling, one of three properties acquired for the future development of its Early Learning Center. The board authorized not exceeding $90,000 in expenses. The demolition is expected to take place in April. The district completed several required steps before the demolition, including developing a demolition plan, removing utilities, conducting asbestos testing and securing permits.
