Two teenage students, Mateo Dávila and Alessia Tucci, were killed in a fiery crash less than a mile from their school in Doral, Florida, less than six hours apart. The car involved in the accident was covered in a tarp on a flatbed tow truck as the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit conducted their investigation. The victims were identified as boyfriend and girlfriend, and were on their way to a basketball game at the time of the crash. The driver lost control and veered off the road and hit a pole, causing the sedan to burst into flames. Students at Downtown Doral Charter Upper School are mourning the loss of their students.
