Business owners in Old Town, New Mexico, are growing concerned about a recent spike in violent crime, with three serious incidents reported in the area within a month. The most recent case involved 44-year-old Arturo Jose Nanez, who is facing charges for randomly shooting a homeless man near Rio Grande Boulevard and Central Avenue. Two of the three cases involved shootings. As tourism season increases, local business owners have expressed concern about the sudden increase in violence. Despite these incidents, business owners say they still feel safe in the community.
