Published on March 10, 2026.
A blizzard warning is in effect for all of the Cascades, including Snohomish, northern and southern King, Lewis, Pierce, Skagit, and Whatcom counties, and Longmire. Five public school districts in North Sound reported two hours late due to snowfall, while another was on snow routes. The warning is expected for the mountains, with winds gusting up to 45 mph expected and potentially leading to 4-5 foot+ snowfall totals at ski resorts. A winter weather advisory is in place until 6 p.m. Wednesday and a winter storm watch is also in place. This week is expected to be the snowiest week of winter in the Caskades.
