Hollywood power couple Nanatchka Khan and Julia Bicknell have built a five-bedroom, seven-bath home in the Lake Hollywood neighborhood for their cocktail party lifestyle. The couple, whose realtor friends recommended the home, wanted it to be functional and welcoming without sacrificing style. They enlisted the help of interior designer Martha Mulholland, who was friends with Khan’s sister-in-law and suggested a more-is-more approach to different colors in each room and themes. The home was designed to showcase the creativity and warmth of the couple, who also had a passion for entertaining. The interior was influenced by vintage and antique finds, furniture, accessories, lighting, and lighting from local artisans and makers.
