Instagram has introduced a new app called Instants, a private photo sharing app that allows users to share unedited photos with their closest friends and followers. The app will not allow for editing of the photos sent, but allows for captions and reposting them to Stories if desired. However, privacy concerns remain with this feature, as it is not clear if someone will use another device to take a screenshot of a photo sent through Instants to share it. The new app is being tested across several countries and is currently being trialed for features such as seeing who has watched your story multiple times multiple times, creating unlimited lists beyond just "close friends" and extending stories for another 24 hours.
